Set up your venue

Four things, none of them hard. Watch the walkthrough, then follow the written steps — they're the same steps. Everything after setup is automatic: stations update themselves and tell you when something breaks.

If something looks wrong

Windows warned about an unknown publisher / a script running

Expected — the installer isn't code-signed yet. Choose Run / Allow. It only writes to C:\SimCenter and registers one scheduled task named SimCenterConnector.

"claim failed: HTTP 403 — bad claim code"

The code no longer matches the venue (someone rotated it) or it was typed by hand. Download a fresh connector zip from the venue page and run install.bat again.

A station shows OFFLINE but the PC is on

The connector isn't running: usually the admin prompt was declined at install. Run install.bat again as Administrator — re-running is always safe, the station keeps its identity and history.

Equipment I own isn't on the card

It was powered off or unplugged when the station last scanned — a PC can only see gear that's energized. Turn it on and hit ↻ Scan now. Anything unrecognised appears in amber with its real fingerprint; tell us and it becomes a named, monitored part for everyone.

The Remote button asks for a password I don't know

It's the password you typed in the 🖥 Set up remote box. Run that setup again with a new password to reset every station at the venue.

A display shows a strange resolution

Someone is remoted into that PC — Windows reports the remote session's size. It reads true again once the session ends.
